The Insite has learned there have been a string of thefts from the Paradise North Cemetery here in Houston. It's located in the northwest sector of the city on West Montgomery Road. Houston police officers say thieves have gone to the cemetery and carried off brass markers on the graves of some military veterans who have died. The Insite has been told the cemetery was hit for several markers last month and cops say again just this week. The thieves I'm told are likely selling the brass for cash...Just like thieves have done for years with copper stolen from air conditioning systems around our city. Who though they'd go so low as to steal from our dearly departed US veterans!
