Keith bought her daughter this 15 inch Disney television back in 2006 before the baby girl was born. So, the television wasn't opened until the baby girl was old enough to appreciate it. That time was last week.
When Damali turned it on after 4 years it wouldn't respond. She later took it to a repair shop where the engineer said televisions are meant to be used as soon as they are purchased. If you allow some models to just sit around they will die.
Keith is now sitting next to a worthless tv that once retailed for about $200.
So, your tip for the day is use that television the moment you you get it.
Sorry Damali!
If she lets me take her to a real nice dinner I will buy both of them a 50 inch flat HD TV. Get with the times babies.Just joking!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe set pictured has a 4:3 ration screen rather than 16:9 which means it is an analog set. As you recall, all analog broadcast ended on June 12, 2009 which means there are no signals to receive. Did she try using a converter box with the set? It is possible, though improbable, that the set was defective and should have been determined while it was still under warranty. In forty years of broadcast engineering I have never encountered a device that failed from 'not' being used so I have to humbly disagree with the assessment given by the repair shop technician.
ReplyDeleteShe is too pretty!
