The Insite was invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony for a wonderful project in the city of Houston. With the help of private donations, the City of Houston Parks Department opened the new Vale-Asche Playground Without Limits. The name says it all.
The park was designed for people with disabilities. A park that's greatly needed by a community that sometimes get neglected by society.
The venture was financed through private donations raised by Dr. Carolyn Farb. Donors from the Vale-Asche foundation were on hand Saturday morning for the big event at the West Gray Metropolitan Multi-Service Center in the heart of Houston.
Also attending were: Joe Turner (COH Parks Director), Mayor Annise Parker, Council member Wanda Adams, Debra Duncan, Mary Benton, Gayle Brown, Bernard Francis, and a host of others!
