For weeks several emails have been going back and forth in downtown Houston. At issue is loud noise at night. The Insite has learned managers at the Lancaster Hotel in downtown Houston complained about the noise coming from the Bayou Place entertainment complex. Guests of the hotel said the noise coming from bars at Bayou Place made going to sleep at night almost impossible. That's where Howard Lehrman comes in the picture. He's kind of like the unofficial loud noise czar in Houston. When there are complaints of booming sounds Lehrman attempts to resolve the issue. That's exactly what he did in this case. Lehrman tells the Insite he tracked down the owners of Bayou Place in Maryland and convinced them to talk with the owners of the bars at the facility. He also reminded them about Houston's loud noise ordinance. That's all it took. Now, it appears people in the nearby hotel can get to sleep without tossing and turning from the loud noise!
