Just a week after holding an annual Christmas party with several other organizations members of the Houston Association of Black Journalists came together again for a mixer.

It was held Monday night at the Salt Grass restaurant in Meyerland.

The event was part pleasure and mostly business.

The group held elections for its new officers as outgoing President prepares to be the regional director.

Houston Chronicle sports columnist Jerome Solomon was elected as the new President of HABJ.

Congratulations Jerome.

Now back to the party...Some of the people attending were: Sherea Carey, Todd Smith, Freddie Willis, and a host of others.  Here are the pictures snapped by the Insite at the festive event!
