IF YOU SEE SOMEONE DUMPING TRASH IN YOUR COMMUNITY REPORT IT!

Have you been to some parts of southeast Houston as of late?  If you haven't you might be shocked just how bad it looks.  I was in the area Monday when I noticed furniture, tires, trash and even a dead dog dumped into ditches.  The area is littered with waste. I called the city's Public Works department.

Spokesman Alvin Wright says illegal dumping is an ongoing problem they fight on a daily basis.  However, Wright says it's important for Houstonians to report those they see dumping in their communities.  Wright says if you see illegal dumping get a description of the driver, a license tag, and what kind of vehicle they're in.  He also says call 311 and report it!

  1. The problem with reporting is that the lowdown dumping rats dump under the cover of darkness. Who would dump a dead horse or dead donkey in daylight? Southeast Houston, we feel your pain! When leaving our homes next morning you can't help notice the dumped tires possibly from the explosion of used tires businesses popping up in our community. We are experiencing increasing levels of dumping in northeast Houston(District B). Hopefully Jerry Davis can do a better job with our help.(Jarvis Johnson was a pitiful councilman for District B .Our homeowners group and I utilize 311 to report, get a reference number and wait. And wait. The only solution then is to call Rummeka Allen Perhaps cameras to capture the culprits would help.
