Precinct 7 Justice of the Peace Hilary Green says she sees hundreds of foreclosure and eviction cases each month in her courtroom.

However, the judge says what's most disturbing is how so many helpless people are taken advantage of during this tough time.
Green says each week she sees clients who are facing foreclosure and evictions who go out and pay attorneys on the average $1500 to help stop or slow the process.
But Green says by the time the defaulted homeowner makes it to her court there is little an attorney can do but represent them in the process of moving out of the house.
Judge Green says she hopes more people get detailed instructions from an attorney they hire on exactly how they will help with the process.
She says in most cases the attorneys who collect the $1500 fee don't even show up to court to help their client.
So buyer please be warned about hiring attorneys who promise to save your home when you've already been evicted!
