HE SAVES AN ELDERLY COUPLE FROM A BURNING HOUSE!

A MAN WHO GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND GETS HONORED AT CITY HALL!

Robert Lloyd Gaston was given an honor he will never forget. Gaston was at his home on June 5 when his neighbors home caught on fire. He didn't just dial 911. He sprung into action. Gaston knew the physical shape of his elderly neighbors so he did what some wouldn't - he walked into a burning house. Gaston was able to save the Bostic street couple from possible death by getting the husband and wife afflicted with alzheimers out of the burning house. His deed did not go unnoticed. Council member Jarvis Johnson's staffers were watching FOX 26 when they heard about the heroic deed. Johnson thought this effort was worthy of a city proclamation. So with wife present, Robert Lloyd Gaston was honored by the Houston city council. Congratulations hero. We need more...

Great job- I wish this sort of thing was the norm rather than the exception.
