COUNCILMAN JARVIS JOHNSON TREATS THE SENIORS OF HIS DISTRICT TO A DAY OUT!

IT WAS HAWAIIAN STYLE ALL DAY LONG!

On Friday at Chester's Place Council Member Jarvis Johnson hosted over 200 senior citizens from District B for his annual "Senior Citizens Prom"-Hawaiian Luau Style. The annual Senior Citizen Prom provides an opportunity for seniors to stay active and healthy in their golden years. Food, entertainment, dancing exercises and gifts were provided to each senior as they enjoyed the morning out in a Hawaiian atmosphere.

The seniors also had the chance visit with their district council member to stay informed and engaged in the political process. Information was distributed to empower seniors by giving them access to critical social services resources. As Chair of the Human Services and Technology Access Committee, Council Member Johnson says he is committed to making sure under served youth and seniors are not forgotten. Here are the pictures snapped by The Insite at the home of Chester and Liz Berrould. Also attending the event were Johnson staffers Previn Jones and Alvin Bird!
