FORMER ENRON TREASURER ARRIVES IN COURT!!!

GLISAN HEADS TO FEDERAL COURT TO TESTIFY!!!!


Former Enron treasurer Ben Glisan arrived in federal court this morning. But he didn't arrive like other witnesses in the criminal case of Enron founder Ken Lay and former C-E-O Jeffrey Skilling. Glisan was escorted by FBI agents. That's because they were bringing him from the federal bureau of prisons. While he is in federal protection he came without the standard handcuffs but he did have a cup of coffee in his hand. Glisan was the first Enron executive to go to prison after pleading guilty to one count of fraud. He's serving five years in prison. As I write this (10:43 a.m.) from the Enron overflow courtroom, Glisan has not taken the stand but when he does he will testify for the government. Still up is Tom Bauer a former Arthur Anderson accountant. He's on his second day of testimony in this 4 month long trial. By the way, we're on week 8.
