RENEW HOUSTON ISSUES APOLOGY TO COUNCIL MEMBER WANDA ADAMS!

It was earlier tonight when the Insite reported a member of Renew Houston took shots at Houston City Council Member Wanda Adams.  (http://carey2.blogspot.com/2010/10/was-houston-city-council-member_19.html)  When members of Renew Houston realized the tone of an email a member of their group sent they quickly distanced themselves from that member.  Here's the statement issued by Renew Houston late tonight:
VOTE FOR PROP 1 CAMPAIGN STATEMENT!
Today, we learned that one our supporters sent an email to Councilmember Wanda Adams containing inappropriate remarks that in no way represent our campaign.
We apologize to the Councilmember and to the entire community for the email.
We respect the opinions and leadership of all members of City Council and believe each of them is doing the best job possible representing Houstonians. Even when – especially when – people disagree on important issues, they deserve our utmost respect.
Despite differences of opinion about Proposition 1 and its approach to streets and drainage, we have and will continue to work with all Houstonians to find solutions that are fair and beneficial to everyone.
 ReNew Houston

When the Insite contacted Council Member Adams she says she hasn't seen the apology and no one has called her as of 9:30 pm Tuesday night!
